Photobombed or photos bombed?
Since we’re in the height of campaign season and people are more frantic than ever on Facebook, it’s time to stop and ask, “Am I looking at this from my clients’ (or friends’) point of view?”
About the only thing worse than being completely inactive on Facebook is being OVER-active. Not only will you get the same results: people ignoring you, you are also going to annoy them in the process.
We’ve all seen it: a friend or business throws out 10 or 12 posts per day, clogging up our News Feeds and making us hunt for other friends’ news because they posted so many pictures in a row of new products. And what do we do? We find that little pull down menu and hit “hide.”
Consider your Facebook followers when you’re posting. If you’re worried about being seen, post during the times they are most active on Facebook. Develop a calendar and put thoughtful, RELEVANT posts to what is going on in the world. Encourage conversation and discussion. But always be sure you’re talking WITH them and not AT them; and that means giving folks time to respond.
